The structural steel department is the oldest department of the Syndus group. Since the founding in 1955 all kind of structural steel activities are part of our daily work. Structural steel is one of the 3 departments of Ferris within the Syndus group. Ferris structural steel is an important contracting partner for the building of steel structures for leading industrial companies in the centre of the Benelux area.
Activities of the structural steel department can be divided in design, fabrication and erection of steel structures for several purposes. Examples of our activities are the building of steel structures for the process industry such as process buildings, heavy frames to support process equipment, bridges for pipelines and walkways/platforms etcetera. We are also your potential partner for steel structures for new buildings and extension of existing buildings. Besides the erection of new buildings, we are your partner for all kind of maintenance activities. At several industrial process sites we have a permanent lodging and Syndus group staff. All of this as a result of the willingness to perform at a high level of maintenance activities day by day.
Without well-educated and experienced personnel these activities are impossible. Ferris structural steel has available well-educated and experienced erection teams and staff for the realisation of your structural steel projects. To act continuously on a high industrial level, education is one of our priorities. Other important themes are safety and product quality. Due to continuous attention and contribution to these three themes we can be your successful partners for the realisation of your structural steel projects.
Our working territory is mainly between the triangle Rotterdam, Antwerp and Ghent. However, each year some structural steel projects are executed across the border of The Netherlands and Belgium.
